Couldn’t put Humpty together again:
Poor old Humpty sat there in pieces and no-one could put him back together again, not even the king’s horses or the king’s men…
Unfortunately so many of us find ourselves in the same place as Humpty. We have been so pounded by the world around us, hurt by people, broken by circumstances that our souls, broken into pieces lay all around us. We try in our own strength to pick up all the pieces, but half the time we can’t even find the pieces to start mending ourselves. We look to others to try and put us back together, but just like Humpty no-one can put all the pieces back together, not even the king’s men… But there is a King who can, His name is Jesus.
The King that declared His mission and mandate is to proclaim good news to the poor, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
Only Jesus can pick all the pieces and love you back together. He alone can make you whole again, He alone paid the price on the cross, to buy you back from the clutches of the enemy. He alone is the perfect love that CAN love you back to life, health and wholeness.
He alone knows just where to find all the pieces.
The key – “Open your heart to Him, pour out your heart to Him for He is a safe refuge.” Psalm 62:8
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 “Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.”
